Abstract :
Based on driving simulator and optical illusion, a new deceleration marking was proposed. The independent road marking deceleration marking simulation and optimization platform was implanted to the driving simulator. By using the virtual reality simulation technology in computer to generate the three-dimensional scene of the road deceleration markings, the computer interacted with the participants in the visual, auditory and tactile sense which can guarantee the authenticity of the simulation. The development of simulation platform based on DirectX9.0c version used VC++ as development tools combined with Visual Studio.NET development environment. At the same time, the experimental data of the drivers´ psychological feeling and visual impact on the visual illusion marking can be obtained. Finally, the marking patterns and marking parameters of optimum deceleration effect can be determined. The experiment results prove that the parameters of the equal space chevron deceleration marking with the best deceleration effect on the center of the carriageway areas were determined as a single angle of 60 °, the vertical width 20 cm and interval 2 meters. The achievements of this paper provide the basis for the implement of management and control measures.
