  • Abstract
    Based on the safety reliability of food logistics, an output storage system, Min-safety Reliability First Out (MRFO) for perishable foods within the cold chain is developed. In this system, the batch of food with the smallest remaining safety reliability is delivered out of storage first. This system on the basis of product´s time-temperature history which is recorded by time temperature integrators (TTI) allows to give priority to food in such a way in which risk of outputting storage time is minimized. The effectiveness of MRFO is evaluated b the First In First Out(FIFO) approach, the current method for food outputting storage, which was used in a case of study on the risk evaluation of pasteurized milk by the Monte Carlo simulation technique. Furthermore, the two systems are compared in the aspect of their effect on the safety of the products in the terms of the remaining safety reliability at the time of out of storage. The results show that following the MRFO system, the risk of food logistics is significantly lower than FIFO system.
