Abstract
A 2 × 2 multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) coherent radio over fiber (RoF) system with adaptive-coded spreading (ACS) is proposed and experimentally demonstrated. The spreading gain can be dynamically adjusted according to the cell configuration and channel condition. It can provide a flexible power budget and a signal to noise adaption for the system. In the experiment, the 2 × 2 MIMO RoF signal with ACS is demonstrated to have good adaption in different wireless distances and transmission fiber lengths.
