Abstract
In the REMOTE EU project, a cluster of detailed Use Cases has been defined, after having taking into account the specific needs of elderly who live alone and simultaneously face chronic diseases on the use and adjustment of services for the enhancement of their everyday life. The UCs constitute a fundament tool towards the success of the project as it offers, among others, the opportunity to present in comprehensive and at early stages the project concepts and development plans to all interested parties and thereby receive extremely valuable feedback regarding usefulness, ease of use, ethical issues and overall acceptance levels. In total, there are 40 UCs determined in REMOTE, clustered under 7 main groups, all of which are IST-oriented. The list of the use case is given in this paper; furthermore, as an example, one of the essential use cases is analysed.
