    As the IEEE Consumer Electronics ?Society Standards Committee chair and as an associate editor of IEEE Consumer Electronics Magazine, I had the honor of attending the Combined Exhibition of Advanced Technologies (CEATEC) in Chiba, Japan, which took place 1?5 October 2013.
