Abstract :
A virtual Hall method for sensorless control of interior permanent magnet synchronous motors (IPMSMs) using high-frequency signal injection is presented. Based on the idea of virtual Hall, the position signal is easily estimated by comparing the magnitudes of three-phase inductances. The experimental results prove that the proposed method has good heavy-load operation capability with a brief control structure.
