  • Abstract
Even if we do not know the exact cause nor the real extent, we are experiencing climatic changes that may be contributing to extreme weather events. In the United States, rising ocean temperatures contributed to the destructive power of hurricanes Katrina and Sandy, while in Europe, increased rainfall led to recent flooding in the UK, France, and Italy. Although it is impossible to say that climate change actually caused any of these events, computer models indicate that we should see more extreme weather in the future.
