Abstract
The aim of this letter is the accurate and efficient analysis of the propagation in coupled rectangular-core waveguides. The problem is formulated as a system of surface integral equations in the spectral domain and discretized by means of Galerkin´s method with analytically Fourier transformable expansion functions reconstructing the edge behavior and continuity condition of the fields. The presented numerical results show that highly accurate results can be obtained with a low computational cost.
