  • Abstract
There is a huge energy-saving space in sports lighting area, sports lighting designers have taken plenty of measures to save energy, but using the intelligent optimization algorithms to optimize the sports lighting´s light environment for energy-saving are rarely studied in domestic. In this paper we take advantage of the evolutionary parallel search abilities of genetic algorithms to find the appropriate aiming schemes and types of photometric curves which are mainly determined by reflectors. The total number and exact aiming positions of luminaires are not predefined, thus the GA system has a large degree of freedom in designing process. The possibilities of reflectors are limited to three different types on this issue. We established the optimization model of standard football field´s light environment based on the genetic algorithm, and the simulation is carried out. The results show that the method can highly improve the sports lighting´s quality and greatly save energy.
