Abstract :
When Kristi Brooks quit her job to stay at home with her small children, she thought not having a full-time job meant some free time to volunteer with IEEE. Little did she know that what started out as a way to reconnect with a group she had belonged to as a student would turn into a full-fledged love of over 15 years, remaining strong even after she returned to a challenging role as a design engineer.
