Abstract
A small wideband low-multipath Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) patch antenna is implemented in this letter. The antenna obtains high multipath mitigation by attaching a multiple-layer resistive plate at the end of the metal ground plane. The plate consists of several pieces of resistive films, approximately provides tapered sheet resistance to reduce the surface wave. Four capacitive fed-probes improve the circularly polarized purity and expand the bandwidth for GNSS frequency coverage. The compact structure keeps the antenna a miniature size and low profile.
