Abstract :
A broadband multi-layer microwave window operating in the W-band frequency range was numerically simulated, constructed and its microwave properties measured. The window acts to separate vacuum and atmosphere. It had to meet strict requirements for application in gyro-amplifiers of broadband, low reflection and high mechanical strength. The window was manufactured showing a -20 dB reflection over 90-100 GHz (except in two small regions), which is in good agreement with the numerical simulation presented in this letter.
