Abstract
An efficient method for evaluating the scattering matrix of lossy E- and H-plane filters, diplexers, and triplexers is introduced. Starting from the electromagnetic computation of the power loss inside the structure, the lossy network S-parameters are retrieved. The favorable comparison between the computed and measured results for several examples demonstrates the high efficiency and accuracy of the proposed approach.
