  • Abstract
Presents highlights of articles included in this special section which include new guidelines established for student papers and research. To complement our future engineering student highlight article, we have our new Guidelines for Student Highlights in a following editorial by John Glass. The contents continue with an interesting article this month that challenges the fairness in bandwidth distribution. Defining fairness quantitatively is an interesting concept. Includes the following topics: promoting engineering education and research in high schools; bandwidth allocation applied to satellite communications; solutions to optimal trajectory management; and BiCMOS wireless transceiver technologies.
