Girls Coming to Tech: Bix reaches out with tales of the history of women and technology

Dr. Amy Sue Bix, associate professor at Iowa State University\´s (ISU\´s) History Department, wrote what has been called "the most comprehensive and thorough book on the history of women coming into technology ever," with her book Girls Coming to Tech!: A History of American Engineering Education for Women. Officially a historian, Bix specializes in the history of technology and women\´s history, and this book is at the place where they intersect. It not only tells women\´s stories but connects them with social implications that women have had to endure.
