Abstract :
This paper focuses on the optimal tracking performance of unstable models. The work is presented for discrete time, linear time-invariant and finite-dimensional networked control systems. An integral square error criterion, between the reference signal and output, is adopted to measure the tracking performance. The explicit expression of optimal tracking error has been obtained. The plant under consideration is assumed to have non-minimum phase (NMP) zeros, unstable poles and data packet loss. The results show that data packet loss, NMP zeros and unstable poles, can worsen the tracking performance. Specifically, the allowable maximum data packet loss rate is calculated in the example.
