  • Abstract
Shortly after Prof. Ronold King died, his wife, Mary, gave me an embroidered pillow. On one side were Maxwell´s equations; on the other side was the integral equation for the current on a dipole. I do not believe that Prof. King would have commissioned this pillow to be embroidered, since one of his “pet peeves” was that the vectors E→ and B→ were the electric and magnetic fields, and D→ and H→ were only auxiliary vectors, which he considered as nothing more than “shorthand notations.” Since the pillow has E→ and H→ as the principal vectors, this would have been contrary to his belief.
