Abstract
Cutting-edge work on 3D telepresence at a multinational research center provides insight into the technology´s potential, as well as into its remaining challenges. Here we present a brief overview of some of our recent immersive 3D telepresence work, focusing on major issues, recent results, and remaining challenges, mainly with respect to 3D acquisition and reconstruction, and 3D display.
