Abstract :
Smart clothes are wearable and comfortable devices for monitoring physiological signals. Using three-axis accelerometer sensors, smart clothes, developed by Chang Gung University (CGU), we are able to measure electrocardiography and electromyography signals as well as respiration, temperature, and motion. In this study, we develop a gateway device using a MSP430F6638 microcontroller to collect five kinds of signals acquired from CGU smart clothes. We process and sample the signals using an analog-to-digital converter and use a USB port to transfer them to Android mobile phones.
