Abstract :
A variable template technology is used during the moving target tracking process for overcoming the limitations of the fixed template. This technology updates the template and uses this new template instead of the fixed template in the tracking window. Combining this technology with the traditional cross-correlation tracking algorithm, the tracking accuracy of the new algorithm base on the new and variable template will be improved. Both the cross-correlating tracking algorithms with fixed template and with the variable template are used respectively for testing the results of tracking target. And through the results comparison of these two tracking algorithms, a conclusion is obtained obviously that the cross-correlation tracking algorithm based on the variable templates technology can get the more target tracking accuracy.
