Abstract
A novel architecture on fiber-connected massively distributed antennas system (M-DAS) for providing a future-proof solution to deliver high data rates while extending the coverage of wireless networks is presented. The transparency of the fiber links to the various wireless signals allows for the simultaneous distribution of multiple services. Intermodulation distortions (IMDs) in directly modulator or external modulator limits the uplink dynamic range and downlink power efficiency in a ROF-based DAS, a digital AGC is used to adjust the uplink RF signal power to an acceptable dynamic range of optical modulator.
