  • Abstract
The echoed signal model of the moving target for the stepped frequency radar is analyzed, and that translation and aberrance of high resolution range profiles and blurring of ISAR images are resulted in moving targets is pointed out. A new automatic motion estimation and motion compensation approach is proposed. This approach obtains the time-frequency chirprate used short time adaptive gaussian chirplet decomposition (ST-AGCD). It can automatically estimate the rough acceleration and velocity of targets. Then the estimated motion parameters are used to compensate the echoes. Simulation results prove that this method has good efficiency.
