Abstract :
This paper proposes a new method of time delay estimator, TDE, which can deal with transient state detection of arriving signals. The detected signals must be well-known or predicted such as periodic signals, repeated impinging signals, waves from controllable sources and so forth. The proposed method is familiar to a model-based parameter estimator, MBPE. A non-uniform sampling analysis, at the same time, is introduced to deliver a high resolution result. Also, a “scale-invariant” property that pays no attention to a signal amplitude can also be found in this method. Experiment results show that the highest peak of pseudo-spectrum is sharp, clear and outstanding.
