  • Abstract
    As a new energy storage device, ultracapacitor has the advantages of high capacity, high power density, long life of charging and discharging and stable temperature characteristic, which is rapidly developed. In this paper, firstly, the basic principle and classification of ultracapacitor are introduced. Secondly, the existing application models of ultracapacitor are analyzed. At last, the applications state and prospect of ultracapacitor are described.
