Abstract :
We present a digital feedback control scheme that mitigates input current discontinuity in Switched Capacitor Voltage Regulators. The switch resistance profile that results in constant input current is derived and implemented on a four-ratio regulator. The details of this digital scheme is presented. Simulations on 32nm CMOS show reduction of up to 70% in the input current peak.
