  • Abstract
The dynamic disparity influence on visual comfort is studied through the subject evaluation designed with the stereoscopic videos captured in studio and natural environments. The technique of zoom was used with three variables to obtain the video sequences. Experiment results showed that dynamic disparity would bring some discomfort to observers, but it was tolerable. Among the three variables, the changing speed of disparity would significantly affect the visual comfort; the changing direction was also one factor. When there were other objects with certain disparities near the main subject, it would increase or decrease the rating scores. However, because all of the max disparities were setted in a small range, they did not obviously affect the response of visual comfort in our experiments.
