Abstract
We show that nanopatterned hyperbolic metamaterials made of Ag-Si multilayers enhance the spontaneous emission rate of dye molecules by 76-fold at tunable frequencies and the emission intensity by ~80 fold compared to metamaterials without nanostructuring.
