Abstract
The paper discusses solutions for automation of the Collection Management (CM) process in the Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) domain. The formulation of the problem follows methodologies developed in the artificial intelligence domain. An automated planning solution can significantly reduce the time required to assign collection assets to requirements and can better support the users by presenting alternative plans. Examples are discussed in the context of planning the collection of Full Motion Video (FMV) data in support to operations.
