Abstract :
The radar signature of wind turbines determination has serious implications in the national security system, mostly in the case of maritime wind turbines and of those close to airports. The blades of the wind turbines cause reflections which may affect radar systems used by commercial and military facilities, radars for air defense, air traffic control radars, maritime navigation and those used for meteorological prediction and monitoring. The blades cause a Doppler effect while the nacelle and the tower may determine false plots.
