  • Abstract
    This paper presents the analysis of electrical parameters in case of air-gap eccentricity in a novel slow-speed slotless permanent magnet synchronous generator. Construction of the novel generator has been explained. Laboratory tests with healthy machine and the machine with an eccentric rotor have been presented. Discussion on how the air-gap eccentricity affects the output parameters of the generator as well as how air-gap eccentricity can be detected has been presented. Different possible eccentricity cases of the machine have been explained and their possible effects on generator performance have been analyzed. Necessity of further study is pointed out.
