            Abstract : 
Electrically-pumped disordered photonic-crystal lasers in the mid-infrared regime at λ~ 10 μm have been demonstrated for the first time based on quantum cascade lasers. Both the extended and highly-localized lasing modes are generated by adjusting the degree of disorder.
