            Abstract : 
A μJ-level source of few-cycle, mid-IR pulses tunable over 2-4 microns is demonstrated based on adiabatic difference frequency generation. This opens up the possibility for single-cycle mid-IR pulses controllable by a near-IR phase shaper.
