Abstract :
We describe a kHz repetition-rate mid-IR laser system based on OPCPA, optimized for soft x-ray high harmonic generation. To date we have demonstrated 1.4mJ at 1.6μm, and 550μJ at 3μm, each with bandwidth compressible to <;100fs.
