Abstract :
We present the first dual-gain SESAM-modelocked thin-disk laser. Using Yb-doped sesquioxide crystals with 8-nm shifted emission peaks, we achieve large overall bandwidth from crystals with excellent thermo-mechanical properties and generate 138-fs pulses in proof-of-principle experiments.
