Abstract
In the last years spaceborne Synthetic Aperture Radar tomography has been intensely developed for the analysis of complex scenarios, such as urban areas and infrastructures. Results of experiments carried out with very high resolution data acquired by the X-Band sensors of the latest generation have already shown the impressive capabilities of this technique being able to provide high densities of monitored point-clouds. In this work we focus on the application of this technology to COSMO/SKYMED data. The method used is based on the application of the Principal Component Analysis method that allows a simple and powerful implementation in SAR tomography with variable degree of multilooking, thus performing a tradeoff between spatial resolution and coverage.
