Abstract :
TRS-4D is the latest generation of the naval radars of Airbus Defence & Space. The TRS-4D is a multifunction radar for sea and air surveillance and target acquisition, operating in C-band. The radar is based on the latest Active Electronically Scanning Array (AESA) technology. Two variants of the radar are developed - a rotating version and a non-rotating version with four fixed array panels. The paper gives an overview over the different steps of the test trial program. During the radar trials a Matlab reference model of the processing algorithm was used. The benefit of the reference model during the development and test phase is emphasized.
