Abstract :
Power user electric energy data acquire system is a system that collects, processes and monitors the electric energy data and realizes the functions such as the automatic collection of electricity information, anomaly monitoring, electricity consumption analysis and information exchange et al. As an important part of the strong smart grid, power user electric energy data acquire system faces customers directly, to which communication channel construction is a key. Currently, Variable communication patterns are co-exist in the system, including wireless public networks, wireless private networks and fiber optic private networks. It is crucial that how to choose the appropriate remote communication technology according to the region characteristics. Firstly, in this paper, wireless communication networking solution in the electric energy data acquire system is introduced. Moreover, the advantages and disadvantages of wireless communication, including transmission security, transmission reliability, network scalability and operation expenses et aI., are analyzed in detail. Secondly, passive optical network EPON technology and EPON network scheme with its characteristics are given. Then, a comparison of the two communication schemes are made in the following aspects:(1) construction cost, (2) operating maintenance, (3) transmission distance, (4) transmission rate, (5) real time, (6) transmission reliability, (7) transmission security, (8) network scalability, (9) environmental factor, (10) standardization level. Lastly, the present situation of power user electric energy data acquire system in Shanxi Electric Power Company is analyzed. 11 cities in this province are basically using public network GPRS/CDMA communication. For now, Shanxi province is promoting pilot construction from the fiber to transformer station. And engineering investment situation of Gaoping construction in Jincheng city is analyzed as an example. It is pOinted that according to the characteristics- of long construction period, wide coverage area and diverse technical mean in distribution network and the requirements of distribution automation, distribution monitoring and distributed power control, EPON network, to which wireless communication is a useful supplement, will become an effective method to achieve strong intelligent distribution network.
