Abstract :
This paper presents a PWM control method for a variable-voltage buck single-stage bi-directional AC/DC converter for suppressing the output voltage ripple with high power factor. The proposed method maintains minimum commutations during the control period for realizing three voltage levels close to the output reference voltage on the output of the converter which in turn reduces the voltage ripple. The effectiveness of the proposed PWM strategy is verified by experimental results.
