Abstract :
The paper introduced the actual application of the new insulation material magnet in high-overload traction transformer. Firstly, the paper analyzed the overload capacity of traction transformer and the temperature rise, life-span model. Secondly, a comparison with the conventional insulation paper was made in its impact on the transformer oil and hot-point temperature rise. Finally, detailed advice on the traction transformer temperature rise limit was concluded, verified that the material magnet can improve the overload capacity of traction transformer, so that the transformer installed capacity decreased, as well as the operating-costs and the cost of power supply.
