  • Abstract
In order to confirm the iron loss characteristics of electrical steel sheet magnetized by PWM inverter excitation, its carrier frequency characteristics are evaluated by taking account of dead time effect. Usually the iron loss decreases when the carrier frequency becomes large in less than 10 kHz or so. However, the iron loss increase tendency is measured in the higher carrier frequency as 40 kHz. The reason is considered to be that DC voltage increases and it is attributable to dead time in PWM signal phase in this paper.
