Abstract
In order to study the radiation characteristics of the airborne VHF antenna, the model of the knife-type antenna was achieved by FEKO. Using MoM analyzed the radiation characteristics of the antenna in free space and using MLFMM analyzed the radiation characteristics of the airborne antenna. By comparing the VSWR and radiation pattern of the knife-type antenna in free space and in airborne state, discussed the impact of the helicopter on the VHF antenna radiation characteristics.
