Abstract :
This paper presents a novel design of a wearable textile antenna for 2.4 GHz ISM bands wireless applications. This design is an L-shape patch antenna with coplanar waveguide (CPW) feeding structure. The presented design is able to achieve wider bandwidth and larger tolerance necessary for wearable applications. The validation of the design is shown by comparison of realistic field simulation with measurement results of an antenna prototype. It is shown that the return loss response has negligible variations when placed on body which makes the presented design a promising candidate for wearable applications.
