Abstract :
A new design of obtaining multi-system dual-band circularly-polarized radiation of a square microstrip patch antenna for GNSS navigation terminal devices is proposed in this paper. The proposed antenna comprises square microstrip patches, which own advantages of simple structure and easy to be stacked and loaded. In addition, RIS technique is applied for antenna gains improvement and size reduction. This proposed antenna has been validated by simulation results. From the measured results, this antenna operates in two different operating frequencies including B3 (1.26GHz) and B1 (1.57GHz), and the measured bandwidths are 38.9MHz and 36.6MHz, representatively. In addition, the bandwidth of axial ratio (AR<;3dB) in B3 frequency range is 10.3MHz, and the bandwidth of axial ratio (AROdB) in B1 frequency range is 11.9MHz. Moreover, the maximum gains are about 2.38dB and 5.24dB in B3 and B1 frequency band, representatively. Meanwhile, apart from CNSS (Compass Navigation Satellite System), the proposed antenna is also compatible with GPS and Galileo satellite navigation system terminals with a compact size of 70mm × 70mm × 4.6mm.
