Abstract
A method is described to assist in the analysis of test results and the comparative ranking of induction motors from different manufacturers after test evaluation. The suggested approach is intended to simply the decision making of purchasers who are evaluating products from different manufacturers through testing. The ranking system considers various performance parameters and is based on industry standards to which the motors are designed. The approach is demonstrated with an evaluation of twenty seven motors from thirteen manufacturers.
