Abstract
A design of epsilon-near-zero (ENZ) medium consisting of metallic wires was presented in this paper. According to the theory, structures proposed here could squeeze electromagnetic (EM) energy and let EM wave tunnel through with negligible loss. We verified the tunneling effect in both two dimensional (2D) and three dimensional (3D) structures firstly. And then we proposed a 2D design of ENZ structure with metallic wires. Numerical demonstration was presented finally.
