Abstract :
In developing a high-quality natural light illumination system, the primary concern is to increase system efficiencys. This paper describes a new static lighting concentrator with the optical couplers. The new coupler not only increases the efficiency but also reduces the numbers of output ports. The structure consists of two-layered units, planar light guide, and a central coupler to compress sunlight and improve light transmission efficiency.
