Abstract :
A C-band rectifier with a wide input power range and a broad operation bandwidth is designed based on the voltage doubling circuit model. The circuit consists of a matching network, a capacitance, a packaged diode and a dc-pass filter. The simulated results show that the microwave-direct current (mw-dc) conversion efficiencies higher than 50% are obtained on 650 Ω load within the input power range from 4 dBm to 20 dBm and the frequency band from 4.0 GHz to 6.3 GHz. The rectifier has the advantages of low input power, broad band, low profile and easy integration, which is suitable for the ambient electromagnetic energy harvesting systems.
