Abstract
This paper represents the design of a freeform reflector coupler which reduces the amount of light guides and has a high efficiency of the optical coupler used in the NLIS (Natural Light Illumination System). The NLIS is used to guide the natural light indoors for illumination, which system is implemented in energy saving smart buildings to reduce energy consumption. This optical structure has a freeform reflector and the efficiency of light reflected by freeform reflector to light guide is 93%.
