Abstract :
A triple-mode substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) resonator is presented in this letter. Same square slots are etched on the double sided surface center of a SIW square cavity. With the aid of proper slot size selection, the resonant frequency of the dominant mode gets close with that of the second-order resonant mode. The triple-mode bandpass filter based on this resonator is then designed. The experimental data are in good agreement with the simulated results.
