Abstract
This paper presents a sub-circuit-based method to model the passive distribution network (PDN) using measured S-parameters. In general modeling method the PDN models have to be transformed into electric networks consists of resistor, inductor and capacitor components. These modeling processes generally take much time and need repeated adjustments. The sub-circuit-based modeling method converts the PDN to a sub-circuit block. The ports of sub-circuit are the same as the port of real PDN and the external characteristics of S-parameters are well matched with measured data. Simulation results demonstrate that the modeling time is saved and the accuracy is improved especially in high frequency.
